ETGC SLUMBER PARTY BUNKER
PRESS RELEASE:
Rose Schlossberg’s End Times Girls Club provides a range of services, tips, and products for the forthcoming dilettante apocalypse. Telecommunications systems are out, chilled Whispering Angel rosé is warming, and definite nuclear destruction is on the horizon. ETGC is a survivalist support group operating online and IRL. In the service of ETGC, Schlossberg adopts the cross-platform model of the self-promotional video blogger, taking her place among the voices of independent armchair professionals worldwide. ETGC functions as the web portal for fear hobbyists looking to hone their grit before they pick up their dry cleaning. Citing haul videos, doomsday prep, and survival branding as formal complements to her project, Schlossberg pits the End Times Girl against the fire and brimstone that threaten her comfortable and meteorologically uncomplicated existence in downtown NYC. Schlossberg and her End Times Girl offer tutorials and merch for the discerning disciple of the Apocrypha. ETGC is the final frontier of stewardship, camaraderie, and young urban professionalism.
At Hundred Forsyth, Schlossberg presents a slumber party bunker that will serve as the temporary clubhouse of ETGC. Visitors are invited to hang out, read a magazine, contemplate the end of days, pick up some skills, and hydrate.
Rose Schlossberg received an MPS from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in May 2013.
